Some Staff Milestones

The Wilson football program, and a few staff members, have hit (or are approaching) some milestones.

Up first, at the end of the 2018 season, assistant coach Jake Peterson earned Wilson win #100 during the Bulldogs playoff victory against Red Lion.

This past Friday night, both Head Coach Doug Dahms and assistant coach Ernie Wolber earned significant victories: it was Doug's 150th as Head Coach and Ernie's 200th as an assistant at Wilson. The win at Penn Manor was also Wilson's 5th of 2019, ensuring yet another non-losing season for the Bulldogs; that would continue "The Streak" of 56 seasons. (Wilson's last season with a winning percentage below .500 was 1963).

Dahms' milestone is significant in that it puts him just one win shy of the legendary John Gurski at Wilson, who retired following the 1982 season with 151 victories. Doug will match and break Gurski's record in the coming weeks. Coach Dahms tied Gerry Slemmer's 129 head coaching wins after the 2016 District 3 6A Championship victory against Cumberland Valley & moved into sole possession of 2nd place in program history with a 28-21 win at Spring-Ford on September 8th, 2017.
