About Wilson Football

The Wilson Bulldogs began play in the fall of 1945. We are a member of the Lancaster-Lebanon League (Section 1) and part of the PIAAs District 3. To date we've amassed 585 wins in 833 games, a winning percentage of ~70%. The 2022 season is our 78th regular season. Of those accrued seasons, we have been perfect 12 times (1967, 1969, 1978, 1981, 1989, 1995, 1999, 2002, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2014). The team is a model program for success, not having a losing season since 1963, a streak of 58 years (and counting!). "The Streak" of non-losing seasons began in 1964, the first year the squad was coached by the legendary John Gurski, the namesake for our home field in West Lawn, PA. In 77 seasons, the Bulldogs have won 33 League & 7 District Titles and participated in the PIAA State Final Four 6 times, with our lone State Championship game appearance coming in 1989.
